Voorhees Animal Orphanage (VAO) is the community shelter serving 29 towns in Southern New Jersey.
VAO serves the following 19 Camden County municipalities: Audubon, Berlin Borough, Berlin Township, Cherry Hill, Chesilhurst, Collingswood, Gibbsboro, Gloucester City, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Laurel Springs, Lawnside, Magnolia, Merchantville, Runnemede, Stratford, Voorhees, Woodlynne and Waterford Twp. That is more than half of Camden County!
We also serve 9 municipalities in Salem County: Alloway, Elmer, Elsinboro, Mannington Twp, Oldmans Twp, Pilesgrove, Quinton Twp, Upper Pittsgrove and Woodstown.
As such, we are the destination for animals collected by animal control or surrendered by residents from any of these 29 southern NJ towns. If you have lost or found a companion animal in one of these towns, we are the place to call!
