There is a $5.00 application fee required to help cover the cost of care for our cats and dogs looking for a new home. This fee is not refundable and does not guarantee any adoption. Adoptions are not first-come-first-serve, but are based on the best fit for an animal’s particular needs. Adopting an animal is a long-term personal and financial commitment, often years in duration, and a very serious undertaking.

Pets must be licensed with your town annually, wear a collar and tags at all times, and kept up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Shelter animals may have unknown medical conditions. Upon adopting an animal, you are responsible for taking it to your veterinarian for a check-up within 7 days. Necessary treatment and costs associated with its care and keeping are your responsibility.

You may return an animal within 7 days if a previously unknown medical condition is documented by your veterinarian.

You may return an animal at any time if your circumstances change and caring for the animal is no longer possible.
